TRI’s Picks August 13 Meadowlands

Meadowlands Racetrack Pick 4, Races 6-9, Saturday, August 13, 2011

In our Pick 4 we had one winner, Lanson ($5.80). We were close in the rest of the Pick 4, with a second, a third and a sixth (the sixth paced a first over trip, coming out at the half). Our profit dropped to -$119.40. I encourage you to play these horses to win. Good luck!

$2 Play: 8/9/13/210 = $8

Analysis:

Race 6- (8) Shadyshark Hanover is coming off a victory in the Oliver Wendell Holmes, where he set a stakes record. He may have the race set up for him once more this week.

Race 7- (9) Blue Rock makes a slight step down after finishing fourth. He may get better positioning in the race with his post.

Race 8- (1) Bettor Sweet is the one to beat in here. He has defeated most of this field in his last five starts. He may bring a price, since We Will See will most likely get over-bet. (3) Delmarvalous has done well all year. With all the speed in this race, he may be able to close.

Race 9- (2) Sir Johnathan Z Tam is stepping down from a second-place effort in the New York Sires Stakes at Yonkers. He has done well in this company in the past and may still be as sharp.  (10) Ok Commander won his elimination of the Meadowlands Pace but scratched sick in the final. This will be his 2011 debut and he has enough speed to go wire-to-wire.
