Check Me Out takes Merrie Annabelle

Check Me Out stays undefeated with a win in the $333,200 Merrie Annabelle, going the mile in 1:54.2, a stakes and track record for two-year-old filly trotters.

Bluff took the lead, with Love Walked In second and Upside Hanover coming first over in third. “Upside” took the lead at the three-eighths and Bluff gave way in second. Love Walked In was shuffled in third and “Check” came out approaching the half. Check challenged Upside around the far turn and Bluff was in third. Miss Paris picked up cover from Check. In the stretch, Check took the lead and started to draw clear, Upside gave chase in second and Bluff was fading in third. “Love” came five wide and closing. Check drew off by 6 lengths and won in 1:54.2. Love Walked In was second, Upside Hanover was third and Miss Paris was fourth.

Check Me Out paid $2.40 to win. She is owned by Ray Schnittker and Charles Iannazo, trained by Ray Schnittker and driven by Tim Tetrick to a 1:54.2 victory.
