Sires Stakes Summary August 20-22

This will never happen again, this is just a summary of the Sires Stakes action this weekend. The reason I do it like this is because we are behind at the office. We should be fully caught up by tomorrow.

Pocono Downs

On Saturday, August 20, nine Breeders Crown hopefuls competed in the $244,212 Pennsylvania Sires Stakes for two-year-old filly pacers.

So Wanted (Real Desire) finished sixth in the first division.

In the second division, Economy Terror (Western Terror) won, paying $2.10. So Easy Baby (Mcardle) was third, Princess Cruiser (Yankee Cruiser) finished fifth, Darena Hanover (Yankee Cruiser) was sixth and Real Chop (Real Artist) was seventh.

In the third division, Cruzin Tothe Dance (Yankee Cruiser) finished second.

In the final division, Marty Party (Yankee Cruiser) won, paying $2.20. Love Of Liberty (Dragon Again) finished fifth.

Yonkers Raceway

On Saturday, August 20, four Breeders Crown eligibles competed in the $229,492 New York Sires Stakes for three-year-old colt pacers.

There were no eligibles in the first division.

In the second division, Townslight Hanover (Bettor's Delight) finished fourth and Sir Jonathan Z Tam (American Ideal) finished fifth.

In the third division, Sir Ziggy's Z Tam (Art Major) finished third.

In the final division, China King (American Ideal) finished sixth.

Tioga Downs

On Sunday, August 21, 12 Breeders Crown eligibles competed in the $126,990 New York Sires Stakes for two-year-old filly pacers.

In the first division, Jk Cracklin Rosie won, paying $2.10. Upfront Miss Major (Art Major) finished fourth, Our Sophia (Art Major) finished sixth and Scootndowntheriver (Riverboat King) made a break, finishing eighth.

In the second division, Hayworth Blue Chip (Bettor's Delight) finished fourth.

In the third division, Jk Fine Art (Art Major) won, paying $2.80. Arm In Arm (American Ideal) finished second.

In the fourth division, Sha Delight (Bettor's Delight) finished second, Emily Car (Art Major) finished fourth, Rio Secco (Bettor's Delight) finished sixth and Baby Rosa (Art Major) finished eighth.

In the final division, Ryder Blue Chip (Art Major) finished third.

Yonkers Raceway II

On Monday, August 21, four Breeders Crown trotting colts competed in the $234,176 New York Sires Stakes for three-year-old colt trotters.

In the first division, Johnny B Kemp (Credit Winner) won and  Whitewater Rapids (Credit Winner) finished sixth.

In the second division, Market Rebound (Credit Winner) finished fourth.

There were no eligibles in the third division.

In the final division, New Zion (Conway Hall) finished third.
