TRI’s Picks- July 1 Meadowlands

Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Friday, July 1, 2011
What a poor way to start the week, with my picks finishing second/third, second, third and second. On the positive side, they were all in contention. This week, I hope that my Pick 4 will bring many outsiders that win and pay well. I would also like to mention that tomorrow is the debut for the 50-cent Pick 5 at the Meadowlands. Check in tomorrow for not only the Pick-4, but also a Pick-5 ticket as well.

$2 Play: 24/210/9/3

Analysis:

Race 6- (2) Showherthemoney gets some post relief after going to the top in this condition from post 8. Seeing that she got the 2, she may not falter as badly as her most recent start. (4) Mcflirty is making a positive hike in class after winning three in a row and being claimed in her last two starts. She is now in the Mark Ford stable.

Race 7- (2) Great Emancipator has shown he is capable in winners of $25,000 lifetime over at Pocono by making a first-over bid. The step down in class and going back to the mile looks positive. Last time he raced on the mile was at three at Balmoral Park. (10) Cameron Chip beat world-champion Manofmanymissions in her last start. She stays in this company and likes to close, making her 10 post look positive.

Race 8- After coming off of two qualifiers, (9) I Fought Dalaw, has shown the most improvement in this field. With the chances of the public seeing this, he may be the favorite.

Race 9- After regaining 16 lengths in her last start, (3) Whatrugonnado has shown one thing in her performances—if she gets a good trip, she is the one to beat. In her most recent start at Chester she regained 11 lengths at the half and came three wide at three-quarters. She came close to winning but finished fourth by 1 ¼ lengths.
