Manofmanymissions takes second Hambo elim

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Manofmanymissions (Andy Miller) was sound, stayed flat and went fast to be victorious in the second Hambletonian elimination, winning in 1:52.4.
Bambino Hall (Dave Palone) took the lead, while Whiskey Tax (Yannick Gingras) was behind in second and Magnum Kosmos (George Brennan) was third. “Bambino” went by the quarter in :27.4. “Whiskey” was in second and Magnum stayed tucked in third.

Manofmanymissions came on to the outside and “Magnum” came first over approaching the :56.1 half. Bambino gave way to Magnum and “Man” was first over in third.

Around the turn, Magnum was under pressure from Man. Bambino was at the inside in third. Pastor Stephen (Ron Pierce) was gapping cover in fourth. Charlie De Vie went off stride in the back.

Magnum had the lead coming to the wire and Man was on the outside. “Pastor” tipped three wide, coming after the two and Opening Night passed an off-stride Big Rigs. At the wire, Man passed Magnum to win. Pastor Stephen settled for third, Opening Night closed for fourth and Whiskey Tax passed tiring rivals to finish fifth.

Hollywood Heyden asked driver Andy Miller if he had to remind the colt [Manofmanymissions] to keep trotting.

“I had to help him along the way,” said Andy. “But that’s him, he’s always been that way. There was enough there when I asked him to keep going. He still felt like he had enough trot to go on.”

Manofmanymissions is trained by Erv Miller for Manofmanymissions Stables, Mystica Marker Farms and the Biasuzzi Stables.
