Buck I St Pat Vies for Third 'Maxie' Title

On Sunday, June 12, the $150,000 Maxie Lee Memorial final will run at Harrah’s Chester in Chester, PA. It consists of eight free for all trotters, including two-time winner Buck I St Pat.

Featured in the final are some of North America’s best free for all trotters, including Coreleone Kosmos, Buck I St Pat, Pilgrims Chuckie, Looking Hanover and Neighsay Hanover. Seeing that Buck I St Pat is the defending champion, she is the likely favorite. She just lost to Neighsay Hanover in the second leg by a nose.

She will be tough to beat, but Coreleone Kosmos may not get some play. He is one to watch because last time he came from the second tier in the Maxie Lee and now draws post 2. This horse has improved so much. Last year he was in non-winners of $6,000, but now he is doing incredible in stakes, plus he overcame his breaking problem.

Also watch Anders Bluestone. He left the gate slowly, trailing the field by 11 lengths coming to the quarter. He regained 8 lengths. He gets the rail and he should leave the gate better than last time.
