Freshmen Pacers Repugn in Simpsons

On Saturday, October 15, freshmen pacers contested in the $31,924 Simpsons for colts and $30,610 Simpsons for fillies.

In the first colt, Forever Just won, with Piece Of Art Work (Art Major) finishing second and Blueridge Dancer was third.

In the second colt, Acrylic Hanover (Dragon Again) was the only eligible and finished off the board.

In the first filly, I’ve Got A Feeling (Rocknroll Hanover) was the only eligible and finished fifth.

In the second filly, Blackjack Princess won, with Arodasi finishing second and Bettor B Lucky (Bettor’s Delight) was third. A And Gs Lady (Rocknroll Hanover) scratched sick.   

Freshmen Face-off in Simpsons

On Friday, October 14, freshman trotters squared off at Vernon Downs for the $31,024 John Simpson colt divisions and the $31,997 John Simpson filly divisions.

In the first colt, Classic Conway (Conway Hall) won, with Archangel (Credit Winner) finishing second and Frost Bites K (Broadway Hall) was third. Classic Conway is owned by Albert and Michelle Crawford, trained by Janice Connor and Stephane Bouchard was in the bike.

In the second division, Quit Smoking Now (Donato Hanover) pulled off the 13-1 upset, with Royal Shyster (Rc Royalty) finishing second and Macksmith was third. Quit Smoking Now is owned by Norman and Gerald Smiley, T L P Stables and Theresa Silva. He is trained by Casie Coleman and Dave Miller was in the bike.

In the first filly, Lady Crown (Cash Hall) was the only eligible, finishing sixth.

In the second filly, American Lassie (American Mike) was the only eligible and finished last.
