On Sunday, July 10, 10 Hambo-hopefuls competed in the $148,748 New York Sires Stakes (NYSS) at Tioga Downs, along with eight Oaks-eligibles in the $140,394 NYSS.
In the first colt division, Petruchio won, with The Turtle Express second and The Triple Lindy was third. New Zion (Conway Hall) finished sixth and My Man (Malabar Man) made a break at three-quarters and finished eighth.
There were no eligibles in the second colt division.
In the third colt division, I’m The Answer won, with Cashahallic second, Rarely Ordinary (Conway Hall) was third and Typical Newyorker (Conway Hall) was fourth. The other eligible Johnny B Kemp (Credit Winner) scratched sick.
In the fourth colt division, Keenan won, with a closing Highland Thunder (Conway Hall) for second and Litany Of Lindy was third.
In the fifth colt division, Dejarmbro won, with Tober second and Tiger’s Too Good (Conway Hall) was third. House On Fire (Conway Hall) made a first-over bid and finished fifth.
In the last colt division, Order By Texas won, with Whitewater Rapids (Credit Winner) second and Spectator K (Conway Hall) was third.
In the first filly division, Em El Cash won, with In Your Room was second and Ya Ya Lindy (Conway Hall) was third with late pace.
In the second filly division, Temper Of Will won with Imageofasweetday second and Tap Tap Dance was third. The eligibles Miss Sue V (Conway Hall) and Pretty As My Mom (Conway Hall) were sixth and seventh, respectively.
In the third filly division, Stell R Time held off Brooklyn (Conway Hall) and Julianna Marvel (Dream Vacation) for the win. Brooklyn ended up second and “Julianna” was third.
In the fourth filly division, Leah’s Ex won, with Dreamgirl Lindy second and Epona Blue Chip was third. Captivating As (Conway Hall) broke at the gate, finishing sixth.
In the final filly division, Conwayslassie won, with Go Go Dancer second and It’s A Diamond third. Some Girls (Conway Hall) and My Lady Lindy (Conway Hall) finished fifth and sixth, respectively.
