Nikki Beach Held Command for Every Post in Valley Forge Consolation

WILKES-BARRE, PA— Nikki Beach took the lead early in the mile and used her speed to hold off all challengers and pace strong until the wire, stopping the clock in 1:50.

Nikki Beach got the lead, with Live Entertainment getting away in second, Handsoffmycupcake third and Carols Desire fourth. Nikki Beach led by the quarter in :26.2. Champagne Tonight began the two wide flow from fifth, but stalled in an attempt to flush cover. Carols Desire took the bait and then Handsoffmycupcake became the two-wide leader from third. Nikki Beach went by the half in :55.4 (:29.2).

Handsoffmycupcake steadily made her way towards Nikki Beach down the backstretch. Carols Desire was tracking her in third and Live Entertainment was getting a perfect trip. Handsoffmycupcake threw in her towel at three-quarters in 1:22.4 (:27).

Nikki Beach was left by herself on the lead around the turn. Carols Desire fanned three wide and began a bid, while Live Entertainment waited for the passing lane. Through the stretch, Nikki Beach’s only enemy was Live Entertainment, but she was only a minor one as Nikki Beach continued on her path to victory, winning the Valley Forge Consolation in 1:50. Live Entertainment finished second, Carols Desire was third and Handsoffmycupcake was fourth.
