WILKES-BARRE, PA— Hambletonian elimination winner Creatine survived all attacks from foes and trotted away effortlessly to a 1:52.2 score in the $200,000 Colonial Consolation.

Creatine got the lead, with the filly To Dream On getting away in second and Possessed Fashion third. Creatine took the field by the quarter in :27.2. Bluto had been parked from the start and made a venture to take the lead, but got a chance to tuck into a pocket when his stable mate To Dream On went off stride. Possessed Fashion came first over from third to challenge Creatine heading to three-quarters. Bluto was sitting a pocket in third and Vibe Blue Chip was tracking Possessed Fashion. Creatine led by three-quarters in 1:24 (:28.2).

Mike Lachance turned Creatine’s engine on at the head of the stretch, leaving Possessed Fashion and a rallying All Laid Out in his wake. Vibe Blue Chip was struggling to old on to a minor placing, but all eyes were on Creatine as he strolled to the wire, stopping the clock in 1:52.2 (:28.2). Possessed Fashion was second, All Laid Out was third and Vibe Blue Chip finished fourth.
