Meadowlands Racetrack Pick 4, Races 6-9, Friday, July 13, 2012
After a long break, the Pick 4 is back! I’d like to
apologize for missing most weeks as I was focusing on the webcast, but now am
on a roll. Today’s ticket looks great. Good luck!
$2 Play: 1,3,6/1,2/2/1,2 = $24
Analysis:
Race 6- (1) Emeritus Maximus qualified
very well last time, pacing in 1:54.3 going a :26.3 final quarter. He makes his
first start and drew a great post to get a pocket trip and swoop by late. (3)
Rocky Mountain Guy is the most experienced freshman in the field, making two
starts and one of them a winning one. Chances are that he will not be much
value, but has to be thrown in the ticket because of his talent. (6) Edington
is coming off a game effort against better in the Reynolds. He was shuffled
back to sixth and closed to finish third. Before that, made a first over move
in the Simpson and drifted very wide. He should get away mid-pack and perhaps
get a second or third over trip to win.
Race 7- (1) Chaplin Hall steps down after
doing great against better. He will be the likely chalk and looks like the one
to beat in leg two. (2) Pantholops is also competitive against this bunch. She
has a slight breaking problem, which she displayed in the Miss Versatility,
being eliminated as soon as the gate drew off. If she stays flat, she will be
very competitive.
Race 8- As long as the public hammers
Jerseylicious, (2) Sombodythatiustono should be great value above 4-1. She has
been qualifying great, showing improvement in every effort. She looks like the
best in the field and may also be the best value.
Race 9- (1)
Upfrontstrikesgold gets huge post relief after two big efforts from outside
posts. He should be sharp and game throughout the mile with his better post.
(2) R Sam was driven handily to win against non-winners of $4,000. He should be
game against better and a great price.
