CHESTER,
PA— Win Missy B easily won the 22nd edition of the $365,000
Goldsmith Maid at Harrah’s Chester on Sunday, November 13. Superstar Hanover
finished second, Lady Andi was third and Pittypat Hanover finished fourth.
Win
Missy B, Superstar Hanover and Lady Andi all left the gate with speed heading
to the first turn. Win Missy B cleared the front, with Superstar Hanover in
second and Lady Andi was in third. Can’t Have My Moni broke in the back of the
field. Win Missy B lead by the quarter in :27.3.
There
was no change in order at the half in :57.4 (:30.1). Playwear Hanover came
first over from fifth heading down the backstretch. Win Missy B still had
command, with Superstar Hanover sitting in second and Playwear Hanover
progressing into third. Aunt Mel was tracking that cover heading to
three-quarters. Aunt Mel came off cover and was three wide at three-quarters in
1:26.1 (:28.2).
Aunt
Mel immediately broke into the stretch. Win Missy B still had the lead and
Superstar Hanover was coming up the passing lane. Lady Andi circled out two
wide in pursuit of Win Missy B, but she was long gone. Win Missy B won easily.
Superstar Hanover finished second, Lady Andi was third and Pittypat Hanover
finished fourth.

Missy B is a two-year-old filly by Conway Hall out of the mare Winning
Missbrenda by American Winner. She has earned $548,675 this year. She is owned
by Robert Key, trained by Charlie Norris and Brian Sears was in the sulky to
win in 1:55.1, a track and local stakes record (local stakes means at Chester,
the Fall Final Four alternate from Woodbine and Chester).
