Haulin
Laser was far back before the start. Dejarmbro went for the top, with Chapter
Seven in second and Spectator K pulling into third. For You Almostfree went on
a break and quickly regained stride. Dejarmbro took the field by the quarter in
:28.
The
field stayed in perfect alignment at the half in :57.3 (:29.3). Around the far
turn, Daylon Magician came first over and applied pressure to Dejarmbro. “Seven”
was stalking them in third. Dejarmbro and “Magician” went by three-quarters in
1:26.1 (:28.3).
Dejarmbro
and Magician were on full gear at the top of the stretch. Seven was circling
out three wide and coming on with plenty of rally. “Almostfree” and “Spectator”
were both fading back. It was Seven who got up at the wire to win by ½ length.
Daylon Magician was second, Dejarmbro was third, Spectator K was fourth and For
You Almostfree was fifth.
Chapter
Seven is by Windsong’s Legacy out of the mare La Riviera Lindy by Dream
Vacation. He has earned $540,549 in his lifetime. He is owned by Richard
Gutnik, Gary Cocco, Southwind Farms and Jerry Silva. He is bred by Richard

“It’s
been a tough hall, we’ve been plagued with sickness and lameness.” Trainer Linda
Toscano said. “The whole team knew he was a really good horse. He is the
lightest raced horse in the division by the looks of it. His lungs and his
finishes have been his best attribute, even when he’s not at his best. He
seemed fresh coming into this.” she added.
